DRY LUBE is a synthetic compound - bicycle chain lubricant packaged by eLUBE by ABS Service developed for competitive and amateur riding in dry weather conditions. The synthetic base is a mixture of complex synthetic compounds containing additives to increase lubrication even under severe conditions.


Synthetic DRY LUBE oil contains corrosion inhibitors that prevent rusting of metal surfaces by creating a thin protective layer and neutralizing acids. Additives improving adhesion, penetrating-creeping additives, which increase fluidity and reduce the viscosity of the lubricant, ensure that the lubricant is evenly distributed over all parts of the chain, and in particular rubs against its most difficult and at the same time the most important place, i.e. the center of the links.

Dry LUBE chain lubricating oil has been enriched with EP lubricating agents and dispersion additives that keep impurities in a homogeneous suspension, as well as anti-oxidant additives to slow down the aging process, which extends the product's useful life. The EP (Extreme Pressure Antiwear) additive contained in the grease is designed to reduce the degradation of the grease as a result of high pressures generated during high-performance driving on the track, road or mountain terrain.
The composition of the product developed in this way creates a laminar plate structure that significantly reduces metal-to-metal friction and improves gear shifting in any situation, even under heavy loads.

The lubricant meets all the necessary standards for grease and go bicycle lubricants, which retain their integrity at the molecular level as they are crushed by the pins and plates of the chain and the teeth of the chain pull on the front sprocket. Although the grease was developed for high performance where the loads on the chain are very variable depending on the derailleur used and the rider's power from 100 Watts to 1000 Watts and changes very often, while in amateur riding it is stable up to 125 Watts, the grease works perfectly in both of these applications. Important for the life of the DRY LUBE chain lubricant is that the lubricant, although it has many similarities in behavior to wax and Teflon lubricants, cannot be "squeezed" from between the plates, pins and rollers. Hybrid DRY LUBE is thin, its consistency resembles skimmed milk and it is packed in a 100 ml bottle with a dispenser matched to the shape of chain links.

DRY LUBE's purple color allows you to easily mark the place of previous lubrication and the product is characterized by a long service life and thanks to additives preventing the formation of deposits, the chain does not require mechanical cleaning, and subsequent use of the lubricant only increases the lubricants contained in the chain. This advantage makes the product extremely economical in operation. The biggest advantage that distinguishes the product from others on the market is the lubricant additive contained in the base oil, which causes the transport and penetration of the lubricant into hard-to-reach places, the so-called creeping additive.
After applying the optimum amount of lubricant to the chain elements, the transport additive evaporates, leaving a thin lubricating film on the chain elements that is dry to the touch and does not absorb dirt from the environment. In addition, it should be added that the coating is hard and does not wear out quickly, and relubrication only increases and hardens it.

Although DRY LUBE is sold as a chain oil for dry weather conditions, puddles or light rain do not wash it from the surface. So it is not a preparation only for dry conditions; wet will not wash out the lubricant immediately.

Its main advantages can be reduced to a few elements and the most important are:

  • very economical and efficient dry lubricant that does not "attract dirt and dust"
  • easy, quick dosing thanks to the fitted tip
  • long-lasting effect far exceeding the available products of this type
  • packaging adapted to the home service
  • covers rolls faster and more durable than denser equivalents

Our recommended method of lubricating a bicycle chain with DRY LUBE oil is as follows. Before using the lubricant, get rid of the old lubricants remaining on the chain, preferably using the physical method (e.g. with a brush) and chemical method (we recommend ecological Hybrid Bike Cleaner which not only degreases but also cleans). then apply one drop of lubricant to each roller, from the inside. Once the rollers are soaked, spin the pedals for about 10 to 30 seconds to distribute the lubricant evenly between the rollers and the pins. After waiting a few minutes, wipe off excess oil from the chain with a cloth or a special sponge. Externally, the chain may look dry - it is important that the pins and rollers are lubricated. Remember to always shake the bottle before use to mix the structure of the lubricant.

A bicycle chain for which DRY LUBE bicycle chain lubricant was used causes that a special active surface contained in the lubricant reduces rolling resistance and improves the transmission of drive. Deep chain penetration ensures quiet operation, protects the drive system from overload and extends chain life by protecting it from dirt and water.
