MOLYKOTE® YM-103 Grease
PAO-based synthetic grease for the lubrication of plastic and metal parts at high loads and low speeds
MOLYKOTE® YM-103 is a high-performance synthetic grease composed of polyalphaolefin (PAO) base oil, lithium soap thickener and solid lubricant additives to form a high-performance semi-fluid grease. MOLYKOTE® YM-103 exhibits excellent load carrying capacity and excellent wear resistance when lubricating plastic-plastic, plastic-metal and metal-metal interfaces. This lubricant is also compatible with rubber and most other common elastomers.
MOLYKOTE® YM-103 grease offers an incredibly long grease life and robust thermal stability from -45°C to 150°C (-49°F to 302°F). This grease operates at lower temperatures than other multipurpose greases.
Applications Application
MOLYKOTE® YM-103 grease is the ideal solution to meet the good lubrication requirements of plastics and elastomers and is compatible with a wide range of rubber, plastic and metal surfaces. The lithium and solid lubricant additives in MOLYKOTE® YM-103 grease allow this grease to be used in higher stress areas and operate over a wide temperature range in applications including but not limited to:
- automotive and cars (rear-view mirror adjustment mechanism and steering systems)
- electrical devices
- Precision Equipment (VCRs)
- Office equipment with plastic elements
- Plastic lubrication
