FORMULA 1/HT High Temperature Silicone Lubricant

Silicone release agent for high temperatures

Separating agent for molding and spinnerets for use in the production of synthetic fibers

Formula 1/HT contains a special formula based on dimethylpolysiloxane fluid with increased resistance to weight loss, change in viscosity and crystallization at temperatures up to 288°C. at this temperature, the product provides resistance to crystallization for up to 5000 hours.

Applications and Use

  • spinneret lubricant for use in the production of synthetic fibers such as nylon, polyester and polypropylene
  • release agent for heavy loads
  • separator for plastic and rubber molds
  • mold release agent
  • Compression molding
  • injection molding
  • Vacuum forming

Features and Benefits

  • Automotive Approval: Ford Tox No.: 168735
  • Provides excellent release properties
  • It improves the surface finish and does not build up on the mould
  • increases the efficiency of molds by reducing the amount of rejects
  • high thermal resistance up to 300°C without crystallization (Formula 1 HT up to +200°C continuously, +300°C short-term)
  • Contains no chlorinated solvents or ozone depleters.
  • Easy to use and economical
  • 360° spray system

* GTH = crystallization time in hours

** For high tenacity products such as industrial yarns or tire cords, sometimes a slightly higher temperature is used in the spinneret area than in the Spin Beam pump area, so the crystallization period will be more limited.

Research method

The gel time of the fluids was determined by heating a 3 mm thick layer of fluid in a 40 mm diameter glass vessel at 250°C or 300°C in air.

Durability and storage

The product can be stored at normal ambient temperatures and has a shelf life of not less than 6 years, provided that it is properly stored. Aerosols should always be stored below 50°C, away from direct heat and open flames.
