How to use
Preparation of the substrate
Ensure that the surfaces to be sealed are clean, dry, sound and free from grease, dust and contamination. The surfaces can be cleaned and degreased
by wiping with a suitable solvent such as DOWSIL™ R-40 Multipurpose Cleaner before applying the sealant.
Application method
The sealant is ready to use. Ensure that the joint is completely filled to prevent bubbles. The sealant should have a minimum thickness of 1 mm.
It is strongly recommended to use a triangular sealing bead inside the gap.
The joint should be machined within 5 minutes of application to ensure good contact between the sealant and the substrate.
The width of the sealant joint should be adapted to the material's movement capacity.
putty. When designing joints using this product, the minimum width should be 6 mm. For a gap of 6 to 12 mm, a sealing depth of 6 mm is required. For joints over 12 mm, the width to depth ratio should be 2:1.
