PTFE Teflon powder

Teflon micropowder fine <8µm - Polytetrafluoroethylene 100%

Product packaged by eLUBE by ABS Serwis

Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) powder with a fine grain size of less than 8 µm, which is a desirable additive to reduce the coefficient of friction

The main use of PTFE micropowder is surface coating, as an additive in lubricating oil, an additive in the production of plastic, plastic, cosmetics, paints, rubber and medical instruments. PTFE micropowder is commonly used as an additive to solid lubricants and lubricating oils to improve lubricating properties. Excellent dielectric properties make the electrical and electronic industry a large recipient of Teflon powder.

Features and Benefits

  • reduces friction
  • increases wear resistance
  • ultra-fine grain
  • compatible metal rubber plastic
  • excellent dielectric properties
  • Ease of deagglomeration

    Applications Applications

    • for the production of lubricants,
    • for paints and varnishes
    • for and impregnation of sealing and insulating materials,
    • for rubbers as a release agent
    • For the production of shaped products by pressing

(PTFE products should be cast or pressed from powders and then sintered for some time at a temperature of over 300°C).

As a release agent for rubbers and plastics, it is added in the amount of 0.25% of the product weight.

As an additive to solid lubricants, improving lubricating properties, thermal resistance and increasing wear resistance. Recommended use 0.5 to 7.0% (by weight). PTFE micropowder is also added to lubricating oils to improve high pressure lubrication performance and to increase the viscosity of base oils in amounts from 0.5 to 4.0% (w/w).

PTFE powder, as an additive to paints and varnishes, used from 0.1 to 3.0% by weight. A large recipient of micropowder are manufacturers of printing inks, because inks with the addition of Teflon are characterized by high efficiency, gloss, abrasion resistance, water resistance and durability against fading.
