The cause of the spark from jumping over the spark plug insulator is most often a leaky end of the high-voltage cable. The ends are often porous, or due to microscopic cracks caused by long-term use. Before each spark plug installation, we recommend lubricating the spark plug insulator and thread with Evil Lubricants dielectric grease for spark plugs. The paste is recommended for use when replacing old cables. This usually creates a gap in the spark plug cap connection. The white spark plug insulators and all cap connections should be lubricated and sealed. Some users of the paste believe that it completely eliminates breakdowns.
